In 2017, Vietnam shrimp industry continued contributing 46% to the value of seafood export value. To bring about that success, it is impossible not to mention the leading corporations and enterprises that have always been the leading ships in applying technology and technical advances in production and business. The “big men” of aquaculture industry also participates in the VietShrimp Aquaculture International Fair 2018 (VietShrimp 2018) coming soon in Bac Lieu.

Minh Phu Group

Minh Phu Seafood Group Joint Stock Company was formerly Minh Phu private enterprise established in 1992 with a capital of 120 million VND. After 25 years of development, Minh Phu has become the biggest name in Vietnam aquaculture industry. After a quarter of a century, although there are still many challenges, Minh Phu has also achieved proud achievements: Being the world’s largest shrimp producer – processor – exporter (Undercurrent News, 2016); Top 50 largest seafood enterprises in the world for 3 consecutive years (Undercurrent News 2014 – 2016). In the coming time, Minh Phu will complete the comprehensive closed shrimp value chain, stabilize input materials, provide the market with the best and highly competitive products with different inclusive values, aiming at 4 objectives: food safety, environmental protection, social security and animal welfare.

Uni-President Viet Nam

Established in 1999 in Binh Duong, Uni-President Vietnam Co., Ltd. aims at the production of aqua feed, animal feed, wheat flour, instant noodles and soft drinks. The company has quickly achieved many successes and gradually developed strongly in the aquaculture field. From an aqua feed factory in Binh Duong, Uni-President now has many facilities in Tien Giang, Ninh Thuan, Quang Nam, Nha Trang, Hai Phong, Quang Tri to meet domestic and regional market demand. Currently, the company’s products are diversified, the distribution system is wide across provinces and cities throughout the country. Up to now, the company has 14 shrimp feed production lines and 4 fish feed production lines. Along with that, Uni-President Vietnam has always maintained its position as one of the major “logistic” enterprises and contributed significantly to Vietnam aquaculture industry.

C.P. Viet Nam

Inheriting a solid foundation from C.P Group. Thailand, more than 20 years invested in Vietnam, C.P Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company is constantly improving its operating capacity, expanding markets, quickly affirming its brand in the field of food production, breeding, and farming techniques. Customer success is the foundation for the C.P Vietnam brand to be more and more affirmed on the market.

C.P. Vietnam is currently focusing on food, breeding and technology. About breeds: C.P. Vietnam committed to providing sufficient quantities, bringing to market the PL12 shrimp with 100% clean. About food: Will use the current feed production technology with the latest and most modern machinery system nowaday. The goal in 2017 of C.P is shrimp feed at the top in both quality and quantity in Vietnam market. Process of “3 clean shrimp farming”: This process has been applied successfully by Thai shrimp farmers and highly effective, helping shrimp farming achieve high productivity, reduce the number of ponds but not reduce the yield of shrimps (less farming but still harvest more); the process consists of 3 factors: clean shrimp, clean water and clean pond bottom.

Thang Long

As an enterprise with 100% foreign investment, Thang Long Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. from a factory in Long An with 2 lines, now the company has expanded 2 factories in Khanh Hoa and Binh Duong with 9 shrimp feed production lines and 3 fish feed production lines with a capacity of 250,000 tons/year; shrimp seed farm in Ninh Thuan province with a capacity of 2 billion seed/year; a factory producing probiotics; 3 experimental farms in Ninh Thuan, Long An and Ben Tre. Along with that, the company also established a company in Malaysia, invested in construction and put into operation food and breed farm in India in 2018. Thang Long has a fast and strong development as today because the company always insists on the strategy “Harmonizing benefits and interests between 3 houses: Factory – Distributor – Farm house”. This helped Thang Long from a company with less than 10,000 tons/year in 2011, within 6 years, reached 250,000 tons of aquatic feed in 2017, an increase of 23% compared to 2016; bringing Thang Long to the ranks of large aquaculture feed enterprises in Vietnam.

Skretting Vietnam

Duong Hung

As an enterprise specializing in producing and trading shrimp seed, raising black tiger shrimp and white leg shrimp for more than 20 years; Duong Hung Aquaculture Co., Ltd. always associated with farmers, especially aquaculture farmers in the coastal area by providing breeds, feeds, scientific and technical transfer and treatment methods for shrimp.

With the motto “Business life goes up must also originate from the development of the life of the rural farmers”, Duong Hung always attaches much importance to the words “Soul” and “Trust” in production and business. Currently, Duong Hung shrimp seed appears from Ba Ria – Vung Tau to most Mekong Delta provinces with the number of thousands customer partners.
